You can invite the Children's Water Puppet Theatre.
The Program:
Childrfen learn to play in about 2-3 hours, the performance takes about 30-45 minutes.
(depending the age and the possibilities of the children).
The building and dismantle takes a lot of time (see below), so it is cheaper to chose a multi-
day program.
During a multi-day program there's enough time to get the children acquainted with Viet
Nam, or Asia. For each age we have an adapted program.
A few possibilities:
- the children make some water puppets themselves;
- about the different kind of puppetry and why water puppet is so special;
- Viet Nam, the history and culture of this country, why it is called the Land of the Dragon, the
many wars they had and how they did handle them, the language and music....
Our Vietnamese associate will be in Europe around the summer for a few months and of
course, in this period she will come along without extra costs.
The costs
All the profits (with the exception of the travel and subsistence expenses) will be used for
our educational and cultural
projects in Viet Nam..
1 day performance = € 1.000,-; + travel and subsistence expenses [1 day to build + 1 day
to play + 1 day to dismantle];
1 week program (5 days)= € 2.000,-; + travel and subsistence expenses [1 day to build +
5 days to play + 1 day to dismantle];
2 week program (2x5 days)= € 3.500,-; + travel and subsistence expenses [1 day to build
+ 2x5 days to play + 1 day to dismantle];
3 week program (3x5 days)= € 4.500,-; + travel and subsistence expenses [1 day to build
+ 3x5 days to play + 1 day to dismantle];
extra week (5 days) = € 1.000,-; + travel and subsistence expenses
on the playing days there can be, without extra costs, also a performance in the
evening)
Necessary facilities:
- a flat floor of at least 3 x 5m, which can carry the water load;
- electricity;
- when necessary we will bring lighting and sound facilities with us
- water filling possibilities;
- water drainage possibilities;
- help for setting the upperpart (10 min.)
- depending on the situation: help for loading and unlaoding
Convenient facilities:
- warm water possibilities;
- to drive in a small trailer;
The children will be sitting on their knees or standing in the water, so it is wise to were so
swimming suit + sweater.
